Account Deletion & Your Data Rights

Walker Formulation Academy app and services. This page explains how to delete your account and associated data, and how to exercise your rights over your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Delete your account in the app

You can delete your account yourself, directly in the app:

Settings → Delete account

This action is irreversible: your profile, saved recipes, AI-assistant chat history and other account-linked content are deleted. Once confirmed, the data cannot be recovered.

2. Deletion by request (email)

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the address your account is registered with (or state that address in your message). Deletion requests are handled within 30 days of receipt.

3. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• access a copy of your personal data and information about how it is processed;
• have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
• have your personal data erased;
• restrict or object to processing, and to data portability;
• withdraw consent to processing at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from your account email. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk.

4. What is deleted and what may be retained

Deleted: personal data (name, contact details, email/phone) and user content (profile, recipes, chat history, settings).

May be retained: anonymised data, and records we are legally required to keep (for example payment and accounting records required by UK tax law) for the periods prescribed by law. Such records are not used to identify you as a user.
