Who is this course for

Graduate of 'Cosmetic Chemistry'

You have completed the basic course and want to expand your expertise beyond cosmetics into household chemicals, where margins are higher and volumes are larger.

Small business owner

You have formulas, but you want to optimize costs, expand your product range, and work with more complex formulas — enzymes, cyclodextrins.

Entrepreneur planning a launch

You are considering household chemicals as a niche for your launch: low barrier to entry, stable demand, and the ability to work from a home laboratory.

Technologist looking to upskill

You work in production and want to systematize your knowledge of surfactants, alkalis, and preservatives, and obtain an official certificate.

16 formulas you will master

Each practical lesson provides a ready-to-use formula and production technology that you can apply immediately

🧴Lesson 6

Thick bleach

An industrial equivalent of 'Domestos' — a chlorine-active gel with a thickener

💧Lesson 7

Liquid bleach

A liquid form of chlorine bleach for laundry and surfaces

🍽️Lesson 8

Dishwashing liquid

A classic surfactant composition with a hydrotrope and thickener

🧽Lesson 9

Scrubbing paste

A paste for pots and pans with a soda-based abrasive

🪞Lesson 10

A fast-evaporating, streak-free formula with isopropanol

🔥Lesson 14

Alkaline oven degreaser

A heavy-duty formula based on sodium hydroxide with a thickener

⚙️Lesson 15

Rust remover

An industrial formula based on phosphoric acid with an inhibitor

🦠Lesson 16

Anti-mold agent

A composition with fungicides for removing mold and fungi

🧬Lesson 17

  • Understand how alkalis, acids, hydrotropes, and complexing agents work
  • Choose preservatives and antimicrobial additives for specific tasks
  • Read and build formulas from raw materials to the finished product
  • Work with enzymes, cyclodextrins, and optical brighteners
  • Follow safety rules when working with aggressive chemicals

Practice

  • Prepare bleaches (thick and liquid) using industrial formulas
  • Produce cleaners for dishes, tiles, glass, and bathrooms
  • Mix alkaline degreasers and acidic cleaners
  • Encapsulate fragrances in cyclodextrins

Cosmetic Formulation Basics course

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The course is designed for graduates of “Cosmetic Chemistry” or technologists with experience working with formulas. It will be difficult for a beginner without basic knowledge of surfactants.
In the standard track — 1 lesson per week (28 weeks). In the intensive track — 2 lessons per week (14 weeks). Access to lessons opens according to the schedule.
For commercial production, you will need to prepare documents (declaration of conformity, SGR, Rospotrebnadzor notification). The course provides formulas and technology; registration procedures are covered separately.
Each lesson comes with a list of raw materials, including suppliers. Most reagents are available for retail purchase; some concentrated alkalis are only available through specialized suppliers.
The course covers substitutions and equivalents. The instructor will help you find an alternative that maintains the effectiveness of the cream formula.
