An introduction to cosmetic formulation. What INCI is, how an emulsion works, the types of creams. Video lesson ~20 min.
How a cosmetic formula is built. Water and oil phases, the percentage ratio of components. Video lesson ~25 min.
What equipment you need for formulating at home. The minimum tool kit. Video lesson ~15 min.
What an emulsifier is and what surfactants are for. The HLB system — hydrophilic-lipophilic balance. Video lesson ~30 min.
A practical session. Preparing the cream's water phase — choosing ingredients and calculating proportions. Video lesson ~25 min.
